Sounds logical, right? But what do you do when you suffer from a mental illness like PTSD or are labelled as having a disorder like autism spectrum disorder? Or your overthinking causes debilitating anxiety – what then? Even Einstein recognized that “we cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”. Making decisions from our minds has created a society that is living from one crisis to the next crisis and the state of our mental health has to become a priority. It’s time to stop making decisions with your mind and discover what your True Inner Authority is. Only then will your mind be used correctly and be at peace.
I have read many self-help books and done the hard work of introspection. I have meditated for decades. I have trained as a yoga instructor. I have followed the Wim Hoff technique of breathwork and cold dips. I have studied and worked as a life coach using different modalities like Neuro-linguistic programming and EMDR. Did any of that help prevent me from having PSTD or help heal me from PTSD? No. Even with all my inner resources to call upon I still froze up when I had to leave my house to buy groceries. I literally could not trust my mind to keep me safe and I no longer knew how to make decisions for myself. Now throw into that, that is also when my marriage broke down and I was completely on my own. How do I survive?
The problem is each theory is like a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, shadow work, or personal transformation work, whatever the case may be. But we live in a world of billions of people and no two people are alike. Yes, it’s all filled with good intentions and good honest people and promises that if it worked for one person or 100 or 1000 then there’s the hope it’ll work for you. So, you go to therapy or counselling or work with a life coach and how many years do you stay in therapy or counselling? I understand how it feels to be in therapy, to feel broken and doubt that you can be fixed.
I can tell you that you are not broken. Why? Because every single human being experiences a duality within themselves. Human design reveals this to you. You just haven’t been taught how to make decisions correctly according to your inner authority. Human design is the key to understanding how you, personally and uniquely, operate and connect with others. Is it a quick fix? No. Will it be easy? No. Is it simple to understand? Yes. Do you have to make any kind of commitment to a professional in human design? No, the only commitment you need is the one you make with yourself.
I understand the patterns of over-thinking, worry, confusion and, self-doubts, these are normal experiences as a human being. I can say it is possible to work on yourself without the constant “effort” of working on yourself. You could save money in therapy that hasn’t fixed you and you can start to enjoy life by learning how you are designed to operate and connect with others. With human design – the science of differentiation - there is no blaming others and no self-shaming. It’s understanding that there are no two people who are exactly the same, not ever, nor ever will be. We are each uniquely different.
